Description:
To perform school secretary successfully, the individual must be able to perform essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or above
- Work-related experience in school office work preferred
- Knowledge and ability to use technology and related software
- Ability to operate commonly used office machines and technology
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ability to greet the public and staff with professional demeanor
- This position requires the medical and physical capacity to perform the major responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office
- Perform additional duties to those specified at the request of the Superintendent or his/her designee
Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
